Shantha De Silva, head of South West Asia from UK-based hospitality chain InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has recently told reporters that the group is targeting opening of 100-150 hotel properties in India over the next ten years. IHG currently operates 29 hotels across India and is in the process of setting up two hotels in Siliguri at a cost of Rs 500 crore and Durgapur at an estimated cost of Rs 550 crore, out of 41 new hotels already in the pipeline
