Airports Authority of India (AAI) plans to set up the taxi track and extension of the basic strip at the Vadodara airport. The process to acquire 21 acre land has started. As of now there is only single runway at the airport, due to this another aircraft cannot land or take-off, till the time the landed aircraft occupies the runway. The taxi track would help to sort out this issue.
