The work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor will begin soon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart will together lay the foundation of the project in September, 2017. The completion of this project is targeted by 2022. The bullet train would run at a speed of 320-km per hour. The bullet traiin corridor would cover 508-km stretch as an elevated one.
