Mumbai suburban station redevelopment project is gaining ground as the rail minister Suresh Prabhu has asked the railway officials to expedite work on redevelopment of 18 suburban stations including Andheri, Bandra, Dadar, Kurla and Dombivali. The revamp plan largely includes improving the circulating area, aesthetics, rest rooms, surface and relocation of stalls. Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) is likely to sign an MoU with Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) to prepare the roadmap for redevelopment of 18 suburban stations in Mumbai.
