Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with West Bengal Government to formalize its support to set up a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence in Transfusion Medicine at Kolkata with an outlay of approximately Rs 200 crore towards equipment, manpower and running costs. The state government will provide the land free of cost for the project.
