The Centre is encouraging development of large world-class bus terminals in at least 2000 cities and town. The Centre fund can be used for the purpose. The Ministry of Road Transport is ready to provide viability gap funding to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore to the state governments to undertake buidling world class bus ports.
