According to Minister of State for Power and Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal, the Government of India is working on to prepare a road map for ensuring only electric vehicles would be manufactured and sold in India by the year 2030. The benefits would include less dependency on oil imports, strengthen the rupee, take care of the current account deficity and clean environment.
