Madras High Court Bench has recently cleared the establishment of the college at Sanapiratti instead of at Kuppuchipalayam. The Construction of buildings for the Karur Medical College is likely to start soon on an area of 30.27 acres at Sanapiratti once the revised estimate is approved. The estimated as of March 2016 was Rs 229.46 crore.
