NMC steps forward to fast track building permission

To fast track building permission on risk-based categorization, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has recently implemented the Maharashtra Government's directives. The new directives can help those seeking building plan sanction/permit, plinth level certificate and occupancy certificate. Architects registered with Council of Architecture, licensed surveyors and engineers registered with the NMC/NIT are authorised to scrutinize and grant provisional sanction for beginning building construction upto 150 sq.mtrs. Building plan of G+1 floor of any user can be sanctioned by them, subject to city's development control regulations (DCR). Architects/surveyors/engineers have also been empowered to self-sanction building plans for area between 151-200 sq.mtrs meeting certain stipulated conditions.
