Hindalco Industries plans to expand the flat-rolled products (FRP) manufacturing capacity of its downstream mill at Hirakud in western Odisha. Around 100 acre of contiguous land is required to complete the expansion project. The investment to the tune of Rs 4,000 crore is planned to ramp up manufacturing capacity from 1,35,000 tonne per annum now to 3,75,000 tonne.
