The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has recently approved the development of four laning of Angul-Sambalpur Section of NH-42 (New NH-55) in Odisha. The cost is estimated to be Rs 2,491.53 crore including cost of land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities. The total length of the road to be developed is approximately 151 km. This work will be done under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase-IV on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis.
